About V....Vaughan

An impressionist oil painter and instructor, V.... paints on location all across America. “My favorite subjects are coastlands, wild places and the countryside around America's small farms."

V's work focuses on special projects that are heartfelt and comprehensive; treating her subjects to documentary style study. She completed 365 daily small works depicting her family's "Last Year on the Farm"' before they moved from their land in 2008. The paintings became a feature in solo shows at various museums, and venues, and the popular TV program Texas Country Reporter, receiving great revues. Many of those 365 works have been collected by patrons all over the world.
V.... follow-up exhibit , “Passing America….” was created in a unique way as she explored America's disappearing family farms. Over 100 small canvases were painted from passenger seats of cars, buses and trains, while V….was “Passing America”. Both shows debuted at the Great Plains Art Museum at the University of Nebraska.

V….Vaughan spent many years as a graphic designer/art director/illustrator, working in advertising and winning Addy Awards. Her clients included Samsung, The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and Harcourt Publishing.  V....Vaughan Arts grew through RockSports Inc. which still features V’s colorful licensed designs in national catalogs and websites. For 30 years V.... has been a part-time high school art teacher and professional workshop instructor all across America. In July, 2022 she will teach a workshop at a castle in France, where artists will stay and enjoy the southern French food and scenes.

Her paintings are part of the permanent collection of the Gadsen Museum of Art, the Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art and the Great Plains Art Museum as well as in countless private collections. Gallery representation includes Broadmoor Galleries in Colorado, and Jack Meier Gallery in Houston

"I paint because it’s the best way I know how to communicate, study and observe God’s creative work, and to think His thoughts after Him.“
